The man behind the story…
Colin Dixon
Colin was a long-time resident of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Living up in the Hinterland, Colin did a lot in his local community, when he is not away working on films and television shows he is either busy writing or helping out at his local neighbourhood centre. Being a bike rider and heavily tattooed the Queensland anti biker laws affected him, he was pulled over serval times and even accused of being a member of an outlaw motorcycle club, this experience caused him to sit with pen and paper and start to write the script for “Patched”
Once written he then had to make sure that he had a believable product, so conversations with bikers and police took place and the script was then further edited then he had to see if there were actors that believed in the project, after approaching several well-known actors and seeing their response, Colin knew that he had the makings of a great film.
Colin has spent a couple of years since writing the script to knock on doors and get the funding together. In an industry where people talk in the millions of dollars his goal is to make a cult film in the same way that Australia’s’ Madmax or Stone were made on a small budget.
